The restoration of the Constanta Casino has been completed

The restoration of Constanta's Casino has been completed and the building will be returned to the local community and the public, Development Minister Cseke Attila announced. In a message posted on social media, he said that the restoration work was funded by the government through the Ministry of Development.

Cseke Attila: We have finalized the reception of the works. We will shortly hand over to the local community, to the beneficiary, the City Hall of Constanta, this investment, this jewel of Romania, a work financed by the Government through the Ministry of Development. The investment began in 2020 and, here we are, we can give back to everyone, to the whole of Romania, and to tourists this architectural jewel that is the Constanta Casino.

Inaugurated in 1910 as a place for theater performances, balls or recreation for tourists, the Constanta Casino was closed due to its dilapidated state.

Its renovation started in 2020 and should have been completed after three years.
