RADOR - Cluj-Napoca currently has the highest rate of anti-COVID-19 vaccination in the country.
40% of the population immunized with at least one dose of the four sera used in Romania.
In Bucharest, too, a little more than a third of the inhabitants are vaccinated: 33.8%.
As a county average, Cluj is in first place with 30% of the population vaccinated.
A good rhythm is also recorded in Sibiu, Brasov and Timis, all with percentages over 23%, according to the data presented on Tuesday by the coordinator of the National Immunization Campaign, Valeriu Gheorghita.
He explained that the situation in the northeast and south of the country, where the vaccination rate is much lower, is a consequence of several factors: the level of population aging, especially in rural areas, where the phenomenon of misinformation is more widely perceived; the religious practice of each individual; the social and professional status of eah person, etc.
The authorities must find solutions and ensure access to information - Valeriu Gheorghita also specified - adding that no person should be stigmatized, because they are not determined to be vaccinated.
