The PSD-PNL-UDMR coalition continues discussions on the green certificate

Articol de Radiojurnal, 23 Decembrie 2021, 06:04

The leaders of the governing coalition discussed on Wednesday, December 22, the form of the green COVID certificate and how it will be used in the workplace, without reaching a final decision yet.

PSD President Marcel Ciolacu said that it was agreed to adopt the project by the end of this year. In his turn, the PNL leader, Florin Citu, specified that the law is very important and must be debated in Parliament.

"Our position is very clear. A bill comes in the Romanian Parliament, we debate it and pass it. We support any draft COVID certificate that will increase vaccination rate. Today, in the Romanian Parliament we have 70%, this governing coalition. We'll pass Romania's budget, I think, in 2 days. I don't think it's a great effort to pass such an important project for Romanians, but I think it can be improved.

The executive announced that it will organize, in the coming days, consultations on this topic with the civil society and stakeholders.
