The faith of professional baccalaureate is, starting Monday, in the hands of the Senate.
The amendment to the Law of Education that implements the professional baccalaureate as an option is, starting today, in order at the Chamber of Deputies, after being passed by the Commission of Education, accepted by all the senators that were present.
44. 41 per cent and 24.27 per cent - These are the graduation figures of the students who took the exam in the summer session, respectively the fall session, this year.
The representatives of the Ministry of Education suggest implementing the professional baccalaureate starting this year, which gives all high school students the possibility to get into the labor market, a solution which, as they say, works for other European countries.
It represents a simpler evaluation for those who don’t want to go to college. The national baccalaureate stays the same.
The two exams have three competence evaluations in common and, after that, those who sign up for the professional baccalaureate need to do a project and take a practical test. They will also have to take a written test in entrepreneurial education.
The graduates will be able to take the national baccalaureate and the professional baccalaureate at the same time.
Any student can sign up to both forms of evaluation and, if in the future a graduate with a professional baccalaureate diploma wants to take on a superior form of education, he will be able to take the tests which differentiate the two types of exams.
The choice belongs to the students and their families.
