The introduction draft of the 2012-2013 school year of the differential baccalaureate was adopted not long ago by the Senate Education Committee.

The professional baccalaureate is a possible solution to facilitate the access to high school graduates in the labor market.

To be implemented, the project needs to pass the Senate.

Many young people are unemployed because employers are reluctant when it comes to hiring a high school graduate who failed the baccalaureate, says the Minister of Education, Ecaterina Andronescu.

The solution found to solve the situation is to introduce the professional baccalaureate which will allow the hiring of graduates, but not their transition to higher education.

The Education Minister said that the students can choose the supported, professional baccalaureate, easier, or the national one as it is now, remains the options for students and parents.

The draft supported by Ecaterina Andronescu provides that the professional baccalaureate will have something in common with the national Baccalaureate, the oral exams at Romanian and foreign language and digital literacy, supported by all graduates at the same time.

After these examinations, the professional baccalaureate will also include supporting a project, a practical test and a written exam on entrepreneurship education, discipline common to all schools.

The Minister of Education, Ecaterina Andronescu, stressed that a student that has opted for professional baccalaureate, can support it at any time and also the national one if he wants to attend a university.
