The new president of the Senate was elected on Tuesday, November 23, that being the leader of the Liberals, Florin Citu, supported by the parliamentary groups of PNL, PSD and UDMR, Agerpres reports.
The vote was secret, with ballots, with 82 votes "for" and 25 "against".
"Thank you Madam Chairperson, thank you for your vote colleagues and the Coalition for your support, thank you Anca Dragu for the work you have done so far in the Senate. Thank you! We will begin working on Friday. Thank you, have a good day!" , said Florin Citu, after the announcement of the vote.
Anca Dragu (USR), who ran again after being removed from office, received 25 votes "for" and 82 "against".
