The President of Hungary, Novak Katalin, and the former head of state, Ader Janos, will participate on Saturday, May 27, in the Catholic pilgrimage from Sumuleu Ciuc, dedicated to the Virgin Mary and considered the largest of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe.
Friday evening, at 6 p.m., the opening liturgy of the pilgrimage will be celebrated in the Franciscan church, followed by a night of prayers and a service on Saturday morning.
The mayor of Miercurea Ciuc, Korodi Attila, declared, today, at a press conference, that more than 300.000 pilgrims from the country, from Hungary, but also from Australia, Sweden or the United States could be present.
