RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - More than a thousand business people, together with political decision-makers and experts, are participated on Thursday at the Palace of the Parliament at the Business Forum of the Three Seas Initiative, an organization that brings together EU member states, located between the Baltic Sea, the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea.
RRA editor Alina Stanuta with the details: "The debates focused on attracting investments, whether it is in the field of transport, energy or the digital field. President Klaus Iohannis pointed out that in order to attract these investments, we must assume the responsibility of consolidating and diversifying the instruments of the Three Seas Initiative.
Klaus Iohannis: "The potential of the region is enormous, there is a need for the continuation of major infrastructure development projects, involving other member states of the Union, but also from the Western Balkans and the eastern neighborhood. Indeed, by strengthening the strategic resilience of the European Union's neighborhood countries, we can really contribute to our own resilience as a whole.”
The Three Seas Initiative, which brings together 13 nations, has a vital role in regional and global stability and security, emphasized Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
Marcel Ciolacu: "Today, the Three Seas Initiative has become a shield for the defense of the future of our citizens, for the defense of our economies and, above all, for the defense of our security. Russia's illegal and totally unjust invasion of Ukraine calls us all to be much more united, much more dedicated to the defense of democratic values and all in solidarity in building a strong economy in the area, an economy that unites and strengthens us even more a lot."
I believe that our region can become a global center for digital technologies, said the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
Andrzej Duda: "Together with Greece, we are now more than 120 million ambitious European entrepreneurs. At the moment there are 91 priority projects registered for the Three Seas Initiative, with a value of over 168 billion euros."
At the Palace of the Parliament, there were four panels on priority themes: energy, transport, digitization and investments."
