The population and housing census was extended by one week

Articol de Radiojurnal, 17 Iulie 2022, 19:23

Host: The population and housing census has been extended by a week, until July 24, in order to reach a census rate close to 100 percent. Currently, nationally, the census rate is around 83 percent. Romanians can still wait for the visit of the reviewers or they can call at the fixed points, managed by the mayoralties, where in the last days a large number of citizens presented themselves, said this week the president of the National Institute of Statistics, Tudorel Andrei.

Tudorel Andrei: In order to support the review process, we created fixed points and saw that there is a great interest from the population. Now it is up to the other party directly involved to carry out all the actions, so that we respond positively to the interest of the people. City halls have come and created these fixed points, and we will analyze and make some decisions on improving the review of them.

Host: People who do not want to participate in the census risk fines of up to 3.000 lei.
