The Politehnica University of Bucharest and the University of Pitesti have merged

The Politehnica University of Bucharest and the University of Pitesti have merged under the name Politehnica National University of Science and Technology Bucharest.
The contract signed on Tuesday stipulates that the new higher education institution will have two autonomous university centers, in the Capital and in Pitesti, each of which will keep its accredited study programs.
Other units will later be able to join this federation-type structure.
