On Thursday, in the morning, at the Constitutional Court, the Opposition contested the initiative of changing the Labour Code, a change that the Government admitted being responsible for.
PSD representatives’ leader, Mircea Duşă, asserted that there would be contested not only the improper way by means of which the law was adopted but also important issues inconsistent with the forecasts stipulated by the Constitution such as the right to work, to holiday, to association and to be on strike.
Mircea Duşă added that the contest included also the union trades’ requirements related to the Labour Code.
On 7 March, the Government declared itself responsible for the Labour Code, in the Parliament.
The Opposition submitted a motion of censure that, on Wednesday, was rejected due to the result that revealed 216 valid votes out of which 212 were ‘for’ and four were ‘against’ the Opposition’s initiative.
There were necessary at least 236 pro votes in order be adopted the law.
Emil Boc, the Prime Minister, declared that the rejection of the Labour Code related motion meant that there was won another fight against Government’s reformation process.
