The online population census, which ended on Friday, was a success, according to the representatives of the National Institute of Statistics.
This first stage of the population and housing census has been extended by two weeks, and recently the volume of forms completed daily has increased significantly.
The NIS had set as a target the electronic registration of one third of the population, and the latest official figures, which indicate more than 10 million completed questionnaires, could represent exceeding this threshold.
However, the institute has always specified that it is not a question of the number of people, but of forms that may also include secondary housing.
From today, those who did not register the data on the electronic platform will be visited at home by reviewers to collect the necessary information.
The reviewers will also go to the homes of those that have ambiguities in the completed forms.
The provision of data is mandatory by law.
