The number of people with depression, anxiety or hypochondria is increasing alarmingly amid the pandemic.
Psychologists say that these states are maintained by the excessive media coverage of certain problems, especially on social networks.
Reporter: The effects of the pandemic are felt in the mental health of the population.
Laura Ianchis, clinical psychologist: At the moment, the things that are more frequent are anxiety, agitation, worry. We are invaded by all this negative information: the number of deaths, the loss of jobs, the closure of some activities. It is good to deliberately schedule activities that give us pleasure, quality time, as we can.
Reporter: According to doctors, great attention is needed during this period, as well as calmness, understanding and especially good communication throughout society.
