The new departure terminal of the "Avram Iancu" Airport in Cluj-Napoca was inaugurated

The new departure terminal of the "Avram Iancu" International Airport in Cluj-Napoca, adapted to Schengen standards, was inaugurated in the presence of the Bucharest authorities and will be opened on Friday, 7 June.
The terminal can now handle up to 4.5 million passengers per year, compared to only 3 million so far.
Cluj airport will provide separate flows for Schengen flights.
Screening capacity has been increased and new boarding gates have been created for tourists, Radio Romania Cluj notes.
The investment of almost €350 million was financed by European funds.
Also, yesterday, work opened on the Cluj-Napoca metro, the first such line outside the capital.
