"Head of the Hungarian Parliament, off the road" – writes Jurnalul Naţional, reporting on the letter that presidents of both Chambers of the Romanian Parliament have sent yesterday to the leader of National Assembly in Hungary, Laszlo Kover, asking him to postpone his planned visit to Romania for today.
Also, the paper develops the visit context of the President of the Hungarian Parliament in Romania and adds that, according to PCM leader Mureş, he will not postpone his visit.
"Education unions’ dictatorship is back?" – România Liberă wonders. The article analyzes the announcement of the interim Education Minister, Liviu Pop, that he signed an order through which teachers of secondary education will be retained, again, union dues directly from the payroll. The publication states that it is such an old practice, prohibited by Daniel Funeriu mandate, and it exposes the former minister’ views, as well as of teachers’ on the subject.
Education Ministry’s decisions are found in Evenimentul Zilei, but in other respects – respectively the changes planned for next year's high school graduation exam that could have differentiated samples, depending on profile.
Throughout the article are noted possible causes of such changes and the pros and cons of this approach.
Also Evenimentul Zilei headlines "farewell retirement: we will work up to 80 years". The newspaper refers to the solution for the debt crisis in the euro area, stated by the U.S. giant AIG, which believes that people must work longer as life expectancy increases.
The paper focuses on the situation of Greece, which has an average age of 59.6 years, among the lowest in Europe, where life expectancy is 81.3 years and analyzes also Romania’s state, concluding that "by 2060, the number of pensioners is expected to exceed that of employees at a rate of 109 percent."
Finally, in Bucharest, "rain reduced pollution by half" – disclosures Adevărul with reference to measurements made by the eight air quality monitoring stations. It seems, however, that the effect will not be lasting - meteorologists say - and mention that the phenomenon is cyclical and hot weather will bring the pollution to values similar of those previous the lately rains.
The publication gives details about the degree of pollution with particulate matter in the capital and lists among the causes the traffic road and the sites that do not comply with environmental agreements.
