The authorities say that it foresees a series of key activities in the fields of education, health, and refugee security.
They will not be granted special privileges, but they will benefit from support, so that, in the shortest possible time, they will become independent, say the authorities.
Daniela Vasilescu transmits: "The plan, officially presented today, contains medium and long-term measures regarding the support of refugees from Ukraine who have arrived in Romania. It aims at the easy integration of Ukrainian citizens into our country and to help them acquire personal independence, said Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca.
Nicolae Ciuca: "It comes with concrete support measures in the field of education, health, employment, housing, children and vulnerable groups, for which we have allocated a budget from both European and public funds."
The State Counselor within the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Madalina Turza, stated that in the coming period a unique number will also be established, where Ukrainian citizens can find out various official and safe information.
Madalina Turza: "Within a maximum of one month, we will have operational a single short number where we will speak in the Ukrainian language and provide information and support from specialists in relevant institutions."
Data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs show that, from March 18 until now, almost 50.000 residence permits have been issued to beneficiaries of temporary protection."
