Counties with an increased risk of air pollution through uncontrolled burning of waste will be able to be monitored with the help of drones.
The National Environmental Guard will be equipped with dozens of such devices specific to the activity of inspection and control, announced the Minister of the Environment, Tanczos Barna.
Tanczos Barna: In June, the delivery of the 46 drones begins. By September, the company that won the tender is required to deliver all 46 airborne installations. These drones will be equipped with cameras with sensors and can demonstrate, document actions of burning, actions of air pollution, which then in court, based on this evidence, can lead to convictions that we really need.
The drones were purchased through a project worth almost 60 million lei, co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund.
