The Ministry of Family announces that the period for submitting projects for investment in social centres with services to prevent the separation of children from their families has begun. The budget allocated for the construction of the new centres amounts to more than 21 million euros, and almost 2.000 children will benefit from these specialised social services.
Reporter: The aim is to create 64 centres for social services to prevent children from being separated from their families, of which at least 10% should be located in communities with a significant Roma population, in municipalities, towns and communes. The maximum eligible amount of a project is € 330.000 excluding VAT and three types of investments can be financed, namely day centres for children at risk of separation from their parents, for children with disabilities and for counselling and support for parents and children. The newly established centres will provide access to social services for at least 1.920 children. Eligible applicants for such projects are public social service providers, accredited under the law and operating at the level of communes, towns and municipalities. Projects may be submitted individually or in partnership with other accredited public or private social service providers. An applicant may submit a single project and investments may be made for the construction, rehabilitation, modernisation, extension and equipping of these centres for children from vulnerable families.
