RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - The Minister of Health does not believe that there will be a general strike in the medical system, despite the outbreak of protests also in this field of activity due to several dissatisfactions also related to salaries and increments. Alexandru Rafila stated today that he had repeated meetings with the representatives of the health unions, which brought consensus on most of the demands.
Alexandru Rafila: "We have positive answers, starting with filling positions in the health system, continuing with the signing of the collective labor agreement, continuing with the vouchers for vacations, which could be paid from other sources, including the fact that we are thinking to see how we can eliminate certain inequities in the granting of increments. However, the problems cannot all be solved now - I think the colleagues from the unions understood. The opening at the Ministry of Health was permanent. Of course, it is everyone's right to protest. They have many demands that are justified, but which cannot be solved all at once. We are going to have a new wage law and that is one thing that was discussed yesterday, the elimination of some discrepancies that exist in the current wage law, which means that, for example, an assistant to have incomes that bring him very close to other categories that obviously have much smaller responsibilities in the medical act."
Statement recorded by our colleague, Adriana Turea. Meanwhile, health unionists have announced that they will launch a Japanese strike from June 7 until their demands are resolved. The National Council decided that Sanitas will maintain continuous pressure on the decision-making authorities, as a warning that it no longer accepts postponements or partial solutions, it is stated.
