The Minister of National Defense, Angel Tilvar, will participate, from Friday to Sunday, at the Munich Security Conference (MSC), a representative forum for discussions on the current dynamics of international security.
According to Agerpres, among the guests are notable personalities from NATO, the EU, the UN, other international organizations, as well as important global decision-makers. The agenda of this year's conference includes a wide range of topical issues, with a major impact on global security and with an emphasis on the evolution of the conflict in Ukraine, almost a year after the Russian invasion, MApN reports.
According to the cited source, the Romanian minister will participate in the conference sessions focused on regional security developments, the implications of Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine, as well as regional stability and security.
He will also participate in the debates on the conference report (Munich Security Report), a document that highlights the profound changes in the security environment and the consequences of the unprovoked and unjustified war waged by the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
Entitled "Re:vision", the report focuses on the intensification of authoritarian revisionism and the increase in competition between different visions of the international order, analyzing different areas, such as: human rights, global infrastructures, development cooperation, energy security and nuclear stability.
Thus, the report highlights the need for a reevaluation of the vision of the rules-based international order, in order to strengthen democratic resilience.
