The leaders of the governing coalition decided this evening to support a common candidate for the Mayor's office.
According to political sources, the best chance is for Catalin Cirstoiu, who runs the University Hospital.
Another decision taken in the coalition is that the PSD and PNL will have joint candidates for the 9 June elections in the sectors, but also for the General Council of Bucharest and local district councils.
An official announcement on the candidates for the Mayor's Office and the district councils will be made after discussions between the PSD and PNL leaderships and local organisations in Bucharest, which will start tomorrow.
