The laws of justice, in the debate of the senators

The laws of justice entered the senators' debate, and a final vote is expected in the plenary session of the decision-making Chamber, next week.

USR requests the postponement of this vote until the opinion of the Venice Commission is pronounced. The President of the Senate, Alina Gorghiu, says, however, that the adoption of these laws is necessary for Romania to obtain a good result in the justice report.

Alina Gorghiu: We believe that, once adopted, we will have the fulfillment of an obligation that was overdue, which is why next week we will vote on the justice laws. In December we will see the view of the Venice Commission. If there are further recommendations to amend the legislation, we will do so without any hesitation.
