The IMF delegation began an assessment mission in Bucharest
The sixth IMF mission to assess the Romanian economy started on July 31 and will last until August 13, when the assessors shall communicate the conclusions of the visit.

A delegation from the International Monetary Fund, led by Erik de Vrijer, head of the IMF mission to Romania, will be on an official work visit to Bucharest since July 31.
The mission will last two weeks, this being the sixth evaluation mission of the Romanian economy.
According to the IMF's resident representative for Bulgaria and Romania, Tonny Lybek, negotiations with the Bucharest authorities are scheduled during the period July 31 to August 13.
The head of the IMF delegation Erik de Vrijer will arrive in Romania on August 1and leave the country on August 14.
"The visit of the IMF will take place at the same time as those of the delegations of the European Commission and the World Bank.
"During this , the delegations will have discussions with the authorities , businessmen, representatives of banks, civil society and political parties," said Tonny Lybek.
He added that the head of the IMF Mission in Romania , Erik de Vrijer will communicate the conclusions of talks in Romania at the end of the visit, i.e. on August 13.
The fifth assessment mission of the IMF, the European Commission the World Bank , was held during April 27 -May 7, 2012.
The agreement between Romania and the IMF began on March 31 2011 and is a preventive, amounting to $ 3.6 billion, representing about 300 per cent of the share which Romania has at the Fund.
Finance Minister Florin Georgescu declared on July 25 that a new agreement with creditors is useful for Romania, considering the Romanian economy consumes more than it produces, and will probably be signed a two-year agreement , for the period 2013-2015.
