In Arges, the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Units at the Mioveni City Hospital will become operational again next week.
Thus, the capacity to treat COVID patients in the county will increase considerably, as reported by our correspondent, Cristian Matei.
Reporter: The department was closed for a long time due to the lack of medical staff, but now, however, the representatives of the local and county administrations, as well as those of the health institutions have found solutions: three resident doctors will work here with three specialists from the Pitesti Emergency County Hospital and the Curtea de Arges Municipal Hospital. The ICU section in Mioveni uses modern equipment and currently has seven beds.
From next week the section will be expanded and will have a capacity of up to 18 beds. By reopening the ICU department in Mioveni, the treatment capacity of COVID patients in Arges, in critical condition, will increase considerably. At the moment, there are 45 beds in ICU's for COVID patients in the county, of which 12 beds are in the mobile Intensive Care Unit installed inside the Pitesti Emergency County Hospital.
