RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - The government is still working on the package of measures to reduce budget expenditures, which could include the prohibition of combining the pension with the state salary. The Ministry of Labor must coordinate with the Ministry of Justice to ensure the legality and constitutionality of such a decision, stated Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca. He confirmed that the hiring freeze in the public system is one of the targeted measures, but added that solutions will be found so that sensitive areas with staff shortages are not affected.

Nicolae Ciuca: "Last year also, we had a similar measure, ensuring the necessary space for the ministries that needed to hire by specific request; we have analyzed and approved employments in essential jobs for the respective structures."
