The government has approved several measures to support farmers

The government approved at today's meeting several measures to support farmers, from low-interest loans to electricity subsidies.
Agriculture Minister Florin Barbu announced on Radio Romania News that other decisions will be adopted next week for vegetable and bee farmers.
"The ordinance on crediting farmers has been approved, 1.95% interest, all taxes and ROBOR are paid by the Ministry of Agriculture. Moreover, today the Government decision on 50% payment for electricity at pressure stations, basically with the energy used in agriculture, was also approved. Next week, part of the minutes we have concluded with the farmers, almost 90% of the acts are finalized, they are published in the Official Gazette. Next week we have important acts for the vegetable sector. We are talking about the Tomato Programme, the Garlic Programme, where we will give support for Ukraine, for the establishment of crops of 1.500 euro per 1.000 sqm and of course a sector that is affected, aid also for Ukraine for the beekeeping sector in Romania", announced Florin Barbu.
Another announcement was made at the opening of the government meeting by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, regarding the executive's intention to eliminate the 10% tax on sick leave for patients with serious illnesses and pregnant women.
