On Thursday, the government allocated half a billion euros in financial aid for large energy consumers so that their products can be competitive on the foreign market.
Also on Thursday, the executive approved more than €400 million for this year's Start-up Nation program.
50.000 euros will be given to each young entrepreneur who will be admitted to the "Start-Up Nation" program this year, to start a business or to develop the one they already have.
The government wants to help more than 7.000 young entrepreneurs up to the age of 38 to create at least 15.000 new jobs.
The program has a number of first-time awards. The entire budget is from EU funds, €450m.
A business skills course has been introduced for those to receive the funding and the use of artificial intelligence to more quickly analyze the projects of entrepreneurs in the program.
Also on Thursday, the government adopted the emergency ordinance reducing the number of secretaries of state to 56. In the coming period, the number of heads of agencies under the Executive with the rank of secretary of state will also be reduced by 30 percent. This will be done by merging these agencies.
Another adopted normative act has increased the standard costs for each child enrolled in nursery, kindergarten and school, both for teachers' salaries and for the purchase of goods, services and training, compared to last year.
