RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - The government approved the granting of financial aid for the purchase of computers to pupils and students this year. Also, the calendar of procedures for signing, until the end of the year, financing contracts aimed at 27 hospitals was approved.

Reporter: Petruta Obrejan: "The necessary procedures for signing financing contracts for several investments in health have been given the green light. Thus, seven new county hospitals are to be built and equipped, as well as 20 public, municipal or city hospitals.

The spokesperson of the Government, Dan Carbunaru: "The total amount that will finance this program is almost 2 billion euros and will be provided from European funds through the health program, but also through the European Investment Bank. The calendar is quite tight and involves publishing the guidelines by May 15 and launching calls by July 10, so that all funding contracts can be signed by the end of the year."

This year also, pupils and students will receive financial support for the purchase of computers based on the Euro 200 program. Dan Carbunaru stated that the amount allocated for this project is 1.7 million lei.

Dan Carbunaru: "Pupils and students from accredited state or private education, who are up to 26 years old and come from families with a maximum monthly gross income of 500 lei per family member, will benefit from this support. For this year, the gross monthly income per family member increased from 250 lei to 500 lei, as a result of the evolution of the consumer price index."
