After three hours of talks at Victoria Palace, the governing coalition has decided this evening on a 12.5% increase in the value of the pension point from 1 January 2023. The decisions made by the coalition this afternoon:
The main decision that the governing coalition took is to increase the pension point by 12.5% from January 1, 2023, and those with pensions below 3.000 lei will receive aid from the state.
Thus, those with pensions of up to 1.500 lei will receive 1.000 lei, 800 lei for those with pensions of up to 2.000 lei and 700 lei for those with pensions of up to 3.000 lei.
These aids will be distributed next year in two installments: the first in January, and the second at the beginning of next winter, in October or November.
The coalition also decided that pensioners with 1.700 lei pension will receive cards worth 250 lei every two months.
Also, a support of 1.400 lei will be granted for the payment of energy bills for pensioners over the age of 60 who have pensions of less than 2.000 lei.
This amount will also be divided into two tranches, to cover the expenses of this winter and next winter.
