The German Air Force sends three Eurofighter jets to Romania

The German Air Force sends three Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets to Romania, in the context of increasing NATO's presence in Eastern Europe. The German planes will leave for Romania in February and March and will be integrated into the Italian contingent that has already been with us since last month.

This concept of interoperability allows a rapid expansion of the existing air defense formula, says the German Air Force. The Italian detachment consists of about 140 soldiers - pilots and technical staff - and four Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft; they perform air police missions.
