The first installment, in Romania, of the COVID-19 vaccine produced by the American company Johnson & Johnson is expected on the 19th of this month.
The delivery schedule stipulates that Romania will receive by the end of the month 163.000 doses of this fourth serum approved for use in the European Union.
The vaccine is given in a single dose and does not require special storage conditions, so it would be used mainly by mobile centers and teams.
In Alba, authorities have been preparing to administer the Johnson & Johnson serum in hard-to-reach rural areas since March 20, with the help of mobile vaccination teams.
The lists of people who want to be vaccinated will be drawn up by the town halls and will be sent to the Public Health Directorate in order to organize the immunization process - RRA correspondent Andreea Bogdan mentioned.
