The first philharmonic in the country to have a cycling team

The Sibiu Philharmonic is the first philharmonic in the country to have a cycling team.
It consists of two instrumentalists, members of the orchestra: Cosmin Fidiles, concertmaster - violin and Antonio Mihail, horn leader. They will participate on Saturday (April 24), for the first time, in the cycling marathon "Ranndonerus" from Miercurea Ciuc.
Thus, for one day, they will leave aside their musical instruments to meet the challenge of covering the 209 km included in this endurance competition.
"I have always compared the activity of a musician with that of an athlete. The study of instrumental technique is equal to training, and musical performances are the equivalent of sporting events. We complete our personality when we combine our profession with hobbies!", said the violinist Cosmin Fidiles, concertmaster in the Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra. His teammate, Antonio Mihail, says that at the Sibiu State Philharmonic, music and movement are in perfect harmony.
