The first 10.000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine entered the country yesterday.
They have been transported to the central storage point at the Cantacuzino Institute in the capital, which has been fully authorized and approved by the National Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices in Romania.
These first doses are intended to immunize staff in the 10 hospitals that treat people infected with the new coronavirus.
The vaccination campaign will start today, as in all European Union countries.
Secretary of State Raed Arafat declared at Nadlac 2 Customs that the authorities' efforts will now be channeled on two levels: the delimitation of the spread of the virus and the prevention of infections, respectively.
The colonel doctor, the coordinator of the national vaccination campaign, Valeriu Gheorghita stated in his turn that Romania is prepared from all points of view for the forthcoming vaccination campaign.
