The executive has approved the implementation mechanism for the material support to be granted between 2024 and 2027 for certain categories of disadvantaged people, government spokesman Mihai Constantin announced.
"The Government has adopted a decision approving the implementation mechanism for measures to grant material support to certain categories of disadvantaged people, among pensioners or people with disabilities, for the period 2024-2027. The maximum income ceiling up to which a person can benefit from electronic social vouchers for food and hot meals has been increased to 2.000 lei, compared to 1.700 lei last year. For the current year, the voucher has a nominal value of 250 lei and is granted once every two months, and the money can be used exclusively for the purchase of food and hot meals and can be used within 12 months from the date of each supply", said Mihai Constantin.
He said that eligible for this voucher are also families with at least two dependent children and single-parent families whose monthly realized income per family member is less than or equal to 675 lei, for families and single people who have been distributed the right to inclusion aid under the terms of Law 196/2016, as well as for homeless people.
Mihai Constantin added that another support measure approved as of 2024 is that people in the mentioned categories will also benefit from material support in the form of a food package in the amount of maximum 125 lei, once every six months.
