The ambassadors of the 27 member states of the European Union, who met in Brussels, have reached an agreement by which the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and his foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, will be sanctioned by freezing the assets held in the community space, announced sources quoted by France Presse.
The deal was agreed before today's meeting of European foreign ministers who are planning to approve a second package of sanctions against Moscow.
Earlier today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the Union to tighten sanctions against Russia.
