The draft law on the state budget and that on social insurance will be debated by the Parliament next week.
Senators and deputies have until Sunday at 6 p.m. to submit amendments, and the debates in the specialized committees begin on Monday.
According to the calendar established by the leadership of the Parliament, the final vote on the two budget projects is scheduled for Thursday, December 15.
The governors announced that the state budget is based on an economic growth of 2.8% and a revenue increase of 14% which in turn is based on the expansion of the Gross Domestic Product. The budget deficit is forecast to increase by almost 4.4% of GDP, and the main novelty is the increase to 2.5% of the Defense budget.
The state and social insurance budgets for next year will allow, say the governors, a 12.5% increase in pensions and a minimum wage per economy of 3.000 lei. On the other hand, the opposition criticizes the Government's project and announces that it will submit amendments to the legislature.
Also next week, a joint meeting of the two Chambers is scheduled for the adoption of the Parliament's declaration on the consolidation of gender equality in Romania.
President Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca, Her Majesty Margareta the Custodian of the Romanian Crown, heads of diplomatic missions and international representations accredited in Bucharest are invited.
