The week known as "different school", which starts today, takes place this year under the motto "Know more, be better."
Thus, between April the 1st and the 5th, students of all ages will participate in all sorts of extracurricular activities.
This is the second year when the ministry of education proposes to students a different school week, which aims to highlight the talents, passions and capacities in various fields and enhance their participation in various activities in non-formal contexts.
Each school has established its own program of activities based on proposals received from students, teachers and parents.
The activities are extremely diverse: cultural and artistic programs, sporting events, museum visits, excursions, workshops, development, environmental activities and other more, says Elena Stefan, Inspector for permanent education at the School Inspectorate of Bucharest.
"Always, the non-formal completes the formal and the acquisition is more sustainable when they are accomplished by doing what you want. It is known that when children know what they learned, they can apply it or better develop, by working what they wanted, remains for a long memory, "said the inspector.
Elena Stefan tells that this year, the organized activities were more varied than last year, students, teachers and parents proving more creativity in proposals. In addition, many institutions of all types offered their support in carrying out these activities, receiving visits from children and organizing presentation workshops.
