The Dacian gold coins, returnees from the United Kingdom
A consignment of 145 Dacian gold coins that has been recovered in the United Kingdom and brought in Romania will be presented to the public this month.

145 Dacian gold coins, recovered from the United Kingdom and brought in Romania, will be presented to the public in November, informs the National History Museum of Romania.
The coins are issued by the King of Koson (approx. 44-29 2003), one of the descendants of Burebista, who controlled part of the capital area, including Dacia, Sarmizegetusa Regia.
Of these, 81 pieces belong to the variant with monogrammed on the reverse, and the other 64 coins belong to the version without the monogram.
All these extremely rare coins have been obtained, in procuring by persons involved in illegal activities of excavations in the area and detections Sarmizegetusa Regia, Agerpres informs.
Romania has conducted 11 operations recovery and repatriation of stolen Dacian treasures , four in 2007, one in 2008 and one in 2009, one in 2011, two in 2012 and two in 2013.
According to Agerpres hoard repatriated along time contains the Dacian bracelets 13 Royal Gold, weighing two pounds, 12,633 umbones shields Dacian Royal parade, 289-iron coins of gold and silver, as well as 14 of the Dacian gold ornaments.
They add other 142 Dacian gold coins of type Koson and five gold type Lysimachos, emitted in the I-II A.C. centuries, at Tomis, Callatis and a deposit of iron tools and weapons, and 73 bronze and silver coins, recovered from the judicial authorities in Romania, between 2009 and 2013.
81 coins belong to the variant with monogrammed on the reverse, and 64 are in the variant without the monogram.
They were minted in gold and alluvial (from Dacia), workshop of currency from Sarmizegetusa Regia, in the 44-29.
Through the application of the UNIDROIT Convention or the European Convention on mutual legal assistance, have been restored in the country heritage pieces from France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Ireland, United States of America and the United Kingdom.
