The Pfizer / BioNTech partnership announced on Wednesday that its own clinical trials have shown that the vaccine developed by the two companies is 100% effective against COVID-19 in teenagers aged 12 to 15.
The companies said they are now awaiting approval from the world's regulators and hope that young people will be able to be vaccinated by the start of the new school year.
The debate will now be whether or not children under the age of 12 should be vaccinated, informs BBC, quoted by RADOR.
