The COVID modular hospital in Pipera, with a capacity of 400 patients, has been opened.
According to the general mayor of the capital, Gabriela Firea, this medical unit is intended for COVID patients with light forms of the virus and will function as an external section of the Victor Babes Hospital in Bucharest.
Gabriela Firea also stated that, starting yesterday, the medical staff who gave their consent to work in the modular hospital were seconded.
Admission of patients to the Pipera external modular ward will be made after their initial clinical and radiological evaluation at Victor Babes Hospital, which still treats the largest number of infected patients among all COVID hospitals - says the mayor of the capital.
