The Coast Guard intercepted a boat with 47 people in the direction of Vama Veche

The Coast Guard police detected on Friday, May 26, in the direction of Vama Veche, a boat with 47 people of Afro-Asian origin on board, including women and children.
After intercepting the boat, which was overcrowded, the mission became a rescue one, under the coordination of the Romanian Naval Authority.
The migrants were disembarked in Constanta Port, where they were epidemiologically controlled, before further investigations. There are strong indications that the people in question intended to arrive illegally in Romania.
