The Ciurel road pass opened yesterday morning. The construction ensures the passage from the center of the capital to the areas of Lujerului and Crangasi, by descending on Soseaua Virtutii.
With a length of about one kilometer, a quarter of which is the bridge over Dambovita, the passage cost 50 million euros.
Construction began in 2010 and was due to be completed in December 2014, but it was interrupted for several years in court due to disputes with citizens in the area.
The Ciurel pass is composed of a bridge with nine ramps and two above-ground passages.
