The City Hall of Sector 1 announced through a press release that it wants to make a gesture of solidarity with the Ukrainian people who are trying hard during this period.

The local administration of Sector 1 has purchased 100 electric generators which it will make available to the victims of the war in Ukraine. The electric generators are being received, and then they will leave as soon as possible for Ukraine, the press release also states.

"Recently, Russia's aggression against Ukraine entered a new phase. Russian planes and drones absurdly and mercilessly bombed and destroyed Ukraine's power plants. Families with small children and elderly people were left without electricity in full winter, and vital institutions in Ukraine - hospitals, shelters, assistance centers, schools, water supply systems are severely affected by Russian bombings. These are the results of a theoretical operation that horrified the entire civilized world, but also mobilized the entire international community in support of the victims of the war in Ukraine", said the mayor of Sector 1, Clotilde Armand, quoted in the press release.

According to statistics from December, the Ukrainian authorities stated that 50% of the country's energy infrastructure was destroyed, and restrictions on electricity consumption will remain in the country throughout the cold season, as 40% of the high voltage network installations are damaged to varying degrees.
