The Chamber of Deputies adopted the draft laws regulating the criminal codes in the form drafted by the Ministry of Justice, without any amendment. Thus, the establishment of a value threshold from which criminal sanctions are applied for abuse of office was abandoned. The possibility of using interceptions made by specialized services as evidence in the case of several crimes, including tax evasion and corruption, was also preserved.

The Chamber of Deputies is the decision-making body in this case, and the documents will be sent for promulgation. In the meantime, the AUR deputies and those unaffiliated from the Force of the Right party announced that they will challenge the amendments to the Constitutional Court, in addition, USR demanded the dismissal of Laura Vicol from the head of the Legal Commission of the Chamber of Deputies and filed a disciplinary complaint against her.
