RADIO ROMANIA NEWS – The Chamber of Deputies adopted, as a decision-making body, the law prohibiting the cumulation of the pension with the salary for several budget categories. Exceptions are provided for local elected officials and parliamentarians, teaching staff, specialized medical staff, foster carers and employees of the Romanian Academy. There are other institutions where the cumulation of the pension with the salary will still be allowed - the National Bank and the National Energy and Communications Regulatory Authorities. The plenary session of the Chamber recently gave a final favorable vote for the project aimed at reforming the pensions for magistrates, soldiers, policemen, diplomats and parliamentary officials, reported RRA editor Iulia Gherman.
