RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - More than 100 thousand people are expected today at the biggest air show in the country. BIAS 2023 will take place at Baneasa Airport, in the Capital, and will last around 10 hours. The organizers, however, draw people's attention to come prepared for the heat and to use public transport, as the area will be very crowded.
Alex Lancuzov comes with the details: "The 13th edition of BIAS started this morning with training open to the public and with the general aviation exhibition on the ROMAERO platform in Băneasa. Tomorrow, more than 100 pilots will have exceptional demonstrations in Baneasa, says George Rotaru, director of the Romanian Aeroclub.
George Rotaru: "We will have over ten hours of continuous flight. We start with the smallest aircraft, the paragliders, and in the evolution we will also have large transport aircraft, a lot of aerobatic aircraft, in formation and individually."
Because today will also be very hot, the organizers have set up several tents for the protection of the spectators and recommend them to use public transport.
Valentin Iordache, spokesperson for Bucharest Airports Company: "Please make sure that there are, especially for children, clothes with sun protection factors, that you use umbrellas, slippers and that you stay hydrated while you are here, in Baneasa."
