RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - The authorities invest 40 million euros in 300 weather stations throughout the country, money from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Last year, the highest weather station in the country, the one on Omu Peak, received modern equipment and solar panels. In Buzau county, the National Meteorological Administration will start the construction of several such stations.

Elena Mateescu, director of the National Meteorological Administration: "Not only in Penteleu, but also the county meteorological station in Buzau and certainly, in the area of Buzau county, more automatic weather stations will be installed."
The best-known weather stations in Buzau county are those on Penteleu Peak and in Buzau municipality. Elena Mateescu, director of the National Meteorological Administration, returns with information about new weather stations that will be established thanks to funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Program.
Elena Mateescu, director of the National Meteorological Administration: "In November, the National Meteorological Administration signed a financing contract worth 40 million euros through the National Resilience Program, and as a result 300 new meteorological stations will be installed, automatic machines at national level, of which 100 are for agrometeorology."
