The deadline for the auction in the privatization of Oltchim factory was postponed for September the 21st, informs the RRA reporter, Oana Rusu.
The decision was taken after at Valcea and Bucharest courts were many requests for suspending the privatization.
The Head Office of State Ownership and Privatization in Industry (OPSPI), Vulpescu Remus, said that from technical reasons, the auction can not be deferred beyond that period, as the International Monetary Fund will discuss the state privatization of Oltchim by the end of this month.
Investors who wish to tender for Oltchim acquisition can do this until September the 20th, at 12:00.
According to Remus Vulpescu, the participation documents already submitted remain valid.
The task book for Oltchim privatization was purchased by 13 companies.
The deadline for submission of tenders for the privatization of Oltchim factory Valcea expired Monday, but Dan Diaconescu, the President of PP-DD, requested the court to suspend the privatization.
Also, other two companies interested, including the Russian giant Gazprom, submitted requests to postpone the privatization procedure for Oltchim.
According to the head of OPSPI, Gazprom asked to postpone with 14 days the deadline for opening tenders for the privatization of Oltchim in order to have a full report on complaints filed in the privatization process.
Remus Vulpescu said that another participant - Pegamont Romania, who bought the task book and made the non-binding offer, asked to postpone the privatization with 45 days to allow the same group to finalize the negotiations with OMV in order to buy Arpechim.
