RADIO ROMANIA NEWS - Several hundred parents from Brasov have set up a group: Anti-Drug Parents' Brigade, where they discuss problems related to drug use among children and teenagers and try to find solutions. The first event of the brigade was organized this month, and the more than 150 participants received information from doctors, psychologists, lawyers and the head of the Anti-Drug Service in Romania.
Cristina Timariu, the initiator of the Anti-Drug Parents' Brigade project: "It is a project of the County Council of Students, supported by this council, because we, as a brigade, are all parents. What connects us all is that we are parents and we are concerned about the current situation."
The president of the County Committee of Parents from Brasov and vice-president of the National Federation of Parents, Catalin Nan, showed that the project has come to be appreciated at national level and could be extended to other counties.
Catalin Nan: "The Anti-Drug Parents' Brigade rumbled all over the country. The chief of the Arad Police called me, let's do it there, from Suceava, Bucharest, everyone. Why? Because parents, unfortunately, react when they are scared, to emotion. I hope it doesn't pass, or even if this emotion passes, let's stay united to self-educate and to solve certain problems, if we can."
The Anti-Drug Parents' Brigade has also created a Whatsapp group where parents and teachers can communicate directly and quickly and can intervene immediately if a case of drug use occurs among children./RADOR RADIO ROMANIA/
