Teodor Meleșcanu resigns as Senate's President
On January 22, Constitutional Court has ruled that election of Teodor Meleșcanu as Senate President was unconstitutional.

Romanian Senate's President Teodor Meleșcanu resigned on Monday.
"I have decided to withdraw from office, although the decision of the CCR [Constitutional Court] has not been published", Meleșcanu told the Senate.
On January 22, Constitutional Court has ruled that election of Teodor Meleșcanu as Senate President was unconstitutional.
